Back from Batam!

Had a great great holiday with the babes at Batam! Must keep reemphasizing because it was really SO MUCH FUN!

A boring place but with great company makes a world of a difference! We had so much fun gossiping, chatting, shopping, eating, slacking, watching the first World Cup match together!

Anyway, here are the pictures! Shall let the pictures do the talking! Love this trip!

Day 1:

Day 2:

Day 3:

The next holiday coming up should be Hong Kong, Macau & Zhuhai with a few friends in October! I know I just went there, but this time with company and spending more time there! Should be fun! I can’t wait!

New Blog Skin

Decided to put the other major blog skin project on hold and use this other one which I designed for Fusionade instead. Since I did put in some effort into this one and only used it for a short while, might as well.

And not to mention that I love the purple!!!

Anyway, during the recent holiday with the girls, and during our chats, Maddy brought up the topic of diving more than often. I guess it did influence me a little. And we spent a lot of time in the hotel watching documentaries on the TV showing underwater creatures.

But I m still unable to convince myself as of now due to the serious diving accident which my friend got into previously. She’s still suffering from the after effects of it. But I must say it did evoke some interest in me. I will give some serious thought about it I guess. Like she said, she picked up diving cos she doesn’t want to die with regrets.

Back from Batam!

My brother just told me that I have this “Lately I’ve been busy / lazy / neglecting my blog” nonsense at least once in every 3 entries.. Which is true..

Had a good laugh at it and I swore never to blog this line EVER!!!

Anyway, just came back from Batam! Had a superb trip with the babes! First time going on a trip with the WF-ers and it was so so so so GOOD!! We were chatting about knowing each other for about 10 years and this being the first ‘official’ trip together if we exclude Chiangmai YEP & Canada’s summer exchange. Only 3 of us went this time but it was still a good trip!

Had a good time chatting, gossiping, shopping, massaging, spa-ing, manicuring, etc! It’s been so long since I went on an all girls trip! The last few trips were mostly with some guy friends who always gave me the “roll eye” look when I want to do a manicure or want to go into “One More Shoe Shop”… (Yes Sig, this is directing at you guys)

The trip was so good we are planning for another trip real soon to make up for the “lost” Bangkok shopping trip!!

Pictures of trip will be uploaded soon! For now, I am concentrating on the World Cup – South Korea vs Greece!!!!!

Neglect

I just realised.. every time I “announce” that I am going to try design a new blog skin, I end up totally neglecting my blog. It’s like a curse…

And it’s been almost a month since I announced a new blog skin.. and still no work done.. lazy as usual..

Well, anyway, there hasn’t been much updates in my life, still pretty much the same old me. Same job, same life, same friends. Nothing new and no one new. The most “asked” question when friends see me. Yup. Still single.

And nope, no one potential. I think. There are some people who are still around in my life, still waiting I guess. But I am really really really contented being on my own for now. It’s been about 4 years since The Thing disappeared from my life.. And I was single for 2 years+ before beginning another relationship which also ended bout 1 year later. Almost 10 months single since then and I really think I am happier being on my own. Don’t ask me why, I am lazy to explain all over. I am just happy & contented. No need for explanations.

As for work, I stopped looking for jobs for a month or so. Had decided to just stay on here to complete some projects before I move on. Initially had made up my mind to stay on, but recently, one of the companies I applied for called me for another round of meet-up. The one which I was most interested in. So now waiting for news. If they want me, and can offer me what they said, then ya. I should be out of here in a couple of months. Definitely more potential to learn & grow at the other place I guess.

Wish me luck! Even though the thought of finally working in the town area, having to wake up earlier to dress up, put on make-up daily and travel to town is irking me. I guess I just have to get used to the idea. Need to move out of the East comfort zone!!!!!
