Its My Day!!!

Yeah!!! I am 1 year older!!

Not that I am happy that I am growing old.. I just like the feeling of gathering all my close friends with me on that day and chatting, having fun, etc.

Anyway, will be celebrating my bdae at a BBQ tonight!

If you’re my friend and you’re not invited via sms, but know my blog, there’s a  chance that your number is one of those that I have lost during the last episode and never managed to recover.. So drop me a comment / email or anything k! Don’t worry, people who know my blog from me are probably close enough to be invited!! You are NOT thick skinned!!!

Alrighty! Just ranting cos I am waiting for Liang zai to come pick me up for last minute preparations tonight! Laaa…

While Aion is down…

Was procrastinating on the blog entry cos I’ve been playing a new game lately.. And didn’t have time to blog.. Or rather, I was lazy..

guess i was trying to find the ‘mood’ back for gaming. Ever since I entered my current company, gaming has become more like a chore than something that I enjoy.

It really kills the gaming fun when all you stare at office is game game game and game.

Anyway, just sharing some pictures of a simple dinner to celebrate my Bestie’s birthday in advance!

Brought them to my favourite Korean restaurant and it was good as usual! Bagus!

Photos of the dinner! (Its bright cos we were kiasu and went there at 6pm to avoid the East Coast mad jam on Sundays)

While waiting for the foood to come…

Short post for today. If I am in the mood, I might just decide to edit the photos of Buddy’s birthday celebration.

Just for the information of people who might be interested. This is the Korean restaurant at East Coast Park, just above Burger King. Costs bout average of $50 per pax depending on what you order. Can get cheaper if you don’t eat beef. Their chicken and pork is relatively cheap. They have lower quality beef as well which costs lesser. $50 per pax is usually for wagyu beef portions.

If you are a small eater, don’t order too much. They give LOADs of side dishes which is enough to fill you up! Love this place! Shiok food!

And lastly.. Happy Belated Birthday Nana! Sorry for the late post! But i posted the photos early on Facebook liao! Heh..

Valentine’s Day!!

Rarely celebrate Valentine’s Day… Its usually just another day for me. I am sure alot of people feel the same too. My previous years of Vday were usually spent with the family with some home cooked meal.

This year’s probably gonna be SLIGHTLY different.. Bringing mum & sis to dinner (dad’s overseas) with Kiki this year! Going for my favourite Korean food!! There’s this new restaurant at ECP that’s quite good! Alot cheaper than the one at Dempsey which Jason brought me but almost good!!!

Initially only wanted to bring sis along but suddenly realised that Dad’s away. Not nice to throw mum alone at home lah..

Anyway, received an early Vday present this year from Kiki.. Initially didnt want anything cos.. Ya.. Vday’s just another commercialised day.. But he volunteered to get it for me! I was jus telling him awhile ago that I saw this ring that I liked alot.. Then he went “Ok. I get for you for Vday lor..”

It was a GOOD offer! Of course have to take it up right!! You will know its a good offer after the pictures below… *hahahaha*

vday

Of course! Its Tiffany’s!!! My first Tiffany’s (and many more to come)!!!!

Love it love it love it!!

Kiki claims this is a Vday present cos I initially didnt want him to spend any more money on me.. But he says nvm lah.. Its our first Vday together..

So I was joking with him.. “but if we are happy together, everyday is Vday right??”

He “Zzzz…”

(For those who didnt get the joke.. I was telling him I should get a Tiff’s everyday…)

Anyway, decided to get him something after all the things he’s done for me so far.. Also owe him a wallet which I promised him last year..

So .. Tadah!!

vday2

This is a costly Vday for both of us! Haha.. (Pic’s abit small. In case you’re wondering, its a Mont Blanc wallet..)

I still have 1 more thing to blog. Shall save it for tomorrow… Flooding my own blog… Haha…

Belated Post!!

Woah! Its been a really busy period!!!

Xmas and then CNY and Vday is upcoming! Havent had time to blog lately! Hehe..

Anyway, some belated photos for CNY!!

We spent an entire Saturday making the filling for pineapple tarts. Started from 12. Not easy work ok! Bought about 20 pineapples this year..

Started ‘grinding’ the fruit so that we get the pulp n juice together. Forgot to take photos of that step so you just have to imagine!!

Then the tough part is stirring it… zzzz… the idea is to stir till the juice dries up and the pulp becomes sticky like what you see in the pineapple tarts. Mum says its better to make our own cos the fillings that you buy from outside not the real thing. If you buy from outside, they usually drain most of the pineapple juice, leaving the pulp, then they just add sugar to make it sweet.

But if you make your own, u stir till the juice gets absorbed by the pulp, all the pineapple goodness and taste stays in the pulp so you don’t need to add so much sugar. So pineapple tarts you buy from outside usually tastes more sweet than sour, but pineapple tarts that are home-made are more sour. Then again, there is ready-made filling which people buy to make ‘homemade’ pineapple tarts. So… my mum’s one is the REAL thing ok!

All of us took turns to stir. Think we started stirring from 12noon till 6pm.. zzz…

pineapple

Don’t have my picture cos I too lok kok already.. But there’s my hand. Protected by this ‘sock’ and cooking glove that mum found.. After I got burnt.. As the pineapple gets drier, it starts to ‘bubble’ and yup. they ‘explode’ at us.. Causing these ‘oil burns’.. zzz..

Anyway CNY was good. The same old thing. Some ang baos here n there. Can see an obvious shrink in the ABs these year. More $2 notes. Times are bad.. AB money is going into TW fund!! Woohoo!! Yes. Going to TW in April with a few other friends, Kiki & Sis. Should be FUN!!!

Had some gambling sessions. This year luck SUPER good. Have no idea why also. Scary!!! Won bout $200+ at a mahjong session. And about $500+ at a blackjack session. Those who know me will know I rarely gamble lah. Haven’t played proper mahjong for ages!!! Then Sheena jio-ed me, so I went.

Won $200+ that night, so her bf says I must go for their ‘mini’ gambling session that weekend at her place. So I went, thinking that i can lose about $250++ lah.. Never had luck with gambling. Usually don’t win more than $20 or lose more than $50.

Reached there at 11+pm, got ‘forced’ to be banker cos of the $$ i won.. *haha* First time in my life being banker.. Was super gan cheong & blur.. With some advice from Kiki, I played.. Max bet was $10. So bets were ranging from $2 to $10 with about 10 players including myself. At 3am, counted my winnings and I won about $500++!!!!!!!! Super lucky! And my first time being banker + first time gambling with people I don’t know. Usually its just $1 to $5 bet with family or friends.

Hehe.. So its a lucky gambling year. Used that $$ to pay for my TW air ticket.. Haha..

Oh.. Supposed to post about Darling’s bdae party to show all the helium balloons that we got.. But she still hasnt sent me the pictures. *hint*
